Our story is one of deep affection inspired by our Border Collie Pie. From his earliest days, we strived to provide him with a meaningful existence rich in emotionally stimulating activities. This included the add-on of toys, but not just any toys. We sought out the very best—those of the highest quality with functional design, lasting workmanship, and, most importantly, ones that were safe both in terms of construction and composition.

It was essential that his things be free of potentially harmful materials, including synthetic substances. We loved our dog and understood the dangers that toxic products pose on lives. As a family, we are committed to leading a happy and healthy existence, and we wanted our dog to live as full and vigorous a life as possible.

What we discovered was that these types of toys are few and far in between.

The idea of ‘Wild Woollies’ originated while herding sheep. Our concept crystalized one day when we were on an open field working our dog. His eagerness, his joy, his acuteness to move the sheep was awe-inspiring. The natural elements of land, air, and sheep came together. It was transcendent. Bringing a piece of that world into a normal household setting for other dogs was a pivotal part of the final recipe.

We are a family-owned and -operated business that believes natural products can play a vital role in sustaining a healthy life.

Our goal is to create the highest quality and most satisfying dog products in the world—all handcrafted locally in Colorado.

All of our creations are 100% organic—nothing synthetic. Our wool comes from local North Country Cheviot sheep that openly graze at the foot of the Rocky Mountains. Cheviot wool has a distinctive helical crimp, which gives it a highly desirable resilience. The fleece is dense and durable, yet springy to the touch. Perfect for our products. All from a flock of happy Colorado woollies! The raw materials are also cruelty free and don’t negatively impact the environment.

Our design philosophy emphasizes simplicity. We believe that the simpler an object, the more it fosters creativity and the joy of discovery. Our creations are the basic of the basic, nurturing a foundation for endless imaginative play. Woollies are more than toys—they are bonding tools, conceived to build a strong relationship between you and your dog. They’re special, reserved for shared moments, only brought out when you and your dog are playing together.
